The smoking desox is significant duty that China develops the current economy and solves the problem of environmental pollution, choosing the technology that is advantageous to the development of circulation economy, comprehensive and circulation utilization of the resources, plan to control pollution, which is important and urgent problem awaiting to be solved. "15th plan and summary" propose that 2010, the total quantity of national sulphur dioxide emission will be reduced 10% than 2005. 90% sulphur dioxide of our country comes from burning coal (thermal power, steel and iron, colored profession ,chemical industry, building materials and so on), but the thermal power accounts for above 50% of the total national emission of sulphur dioxide, therefore the thermoelectric power station is the essential profession that our country reduces the emission of sulphur dioxide
China will take reducing the total quantity of sulphur dioxide emission as the key point in preventing and controlling pollution of burning coal and will support the development of desox industry. In order to complete the bounded target of "15th plan and summary", to impel steps of smoking desox, application and promotion the achievement of desox technology in the national market rapidly, both sides of supplying and demanding exchange and cooperate, decide to hold "International Peak Forum on Chinese Desox Environmental Protection and Circulation Economy " in November, 2007, in Beijing.
